Terms & Conditions
These terms outline the rules for using our website and services. By registering for a program or interacting with All Things Science, you agree to follow them.
All Things Science
Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: November 26, 2025
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our website located at www.atsclub.org, as well as your involvement in any of our STEM-based educational offerings (collectively referred to as “Programs”). Our Programs include, but are not limited to, after-school clubs, in-school STEM labs, seasonal camps, school events, and enrichment workshops.
In these Terms, “All Things Science,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to the organization operating the Programs and website. “You” refers to any individual who accesses our website or registers a minor for a Program. “Participant” means any individual, including minors, who takes part in one of our Programs. “Services” includes our website, communications, educational content, registration systems, and all associated offerings provided through All Things Science.
By accessing our website, registering a student for a Program, or otherwise using our Services, you agree—on behalf of yourself and any participating minor—to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
1. Code of Conduct
All Things Science is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. To help us maintain high standards across all our Programs, we ask that all participants—including students and their parents or guardians—uphold respectful and responsible behavior at all times. This Code of Conduct outlines expectations but is not exhaustive. Conduct that disrupts the learning experience or creates an unsafe, hostile, or unproductive environment may result in dismissal from a Program at the sole discretion of All Things Science or its partner school/location.
We reserve the right to immediately remove any participant from a Program, without prior notice or refund, if:
- They violate this Code of Conduct,
- Their behavior is determined to be inappropriate for an educational setting, or
- It is concluded that continued participation is not in the best interest of the student, other participants, or staff.
1.1 Prohibited Behaviors
- Bullying, harassment, or any form of intimidation toward students, staff, or others;
- Use of profane, offensive, or discriminatory language—including slurs or jokes based on race, gender, orientation, culture, or ability;
- Displaying, sharing, or accessing inappropriate material, including violent, sexual, or otherwise offensive content;
Unauthorized sharing, reproduction, or distribution of proprietary Program materials (e.g., lesson plans or activities); - Misrepresenting identity or impersonating someone else;
- Contacting instructors or staff outside of approved Program channels.
1.2 Expected Behaviors
- Students must follow all directions provided by instructors and Program staff;
- Participants must wear appropriate attire suitable for a school-based learning environment;
Students and parents must comply with any platform or tool guidelines, including applicable age restrictions; - All shared content during the Program must be relevant, respectful, and appropriate for an academic setting.
2. Age Policy
All Things Science designs and delivers Programs intended for students approximately 5 to 14 years of age. By enrolling a student, parents and guardians acknowledge that participants may engage in activities, discussions, or group work alongside other students within this full age range. Program groupings and activities are structured with age-appropriate materials and supervision, but mixed-age interactions may occur as part of the learning experience.
3. Program Registration and Placement
All Things Science strives to match each student with the most appropriate learning experience based on age, skill level, and group dynamics. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to reassign a student to a different Program or course if we determine that an alternate placement is more suitable for their educational benefit or for the overall success of the group.
By registering for a Program, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Your student may be transferred to a different Program offering as needed;
- Such changes may occur without prior approval, compensation, or refund;
- All transfers will be made at no additional cost to you.
Our goal is always to ensure that students are placed in environments where they can thrive.
4. Special Accommodations
All Things Science is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. While we welcome students who require accommodations or the assistance of a support aide, we are not able to provide one directly or guarantee the availability of individualized support through our staff.
If a student requires accommodations or will attend with a support aide to participate meaningfully in a Program, it is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to arrange this support and notify us in advance.
To request an accommodation or arrange for a support aide, please email hello@atsclub.org no later than three weeks prior to the student’s scheduled start date. This notice allows us time to review the request and determine whether the Program environment can reasonably support the request.
Requirements for Support Aides:
- All aides must be at least 18 years of age.
- Aides must pass a criminal background check and sex offender registry screening prior to participation.
- Aides must complete Live Scan fingerprinting through an approved facility, which includes both DOJ and FBI screening.
Depending on the location or school district, additional requirements may apply. These may include, but are not limited to, TB clearance, CPR/First Aid certification, and Mandated Reporter training. - The parent or guardian is responsible for all associated costs, including (but not limited to) fingerprinting, background checks, parking, and the aide’s compensation.
Failure to provide timely notice may prevent us from accommodating support needs and could result in the student being unable to participate.
5. Partner-Hosted Programs
All Things Science may operate Programs on behalf of schools, school districts, municipalities, or other third-party organizations. In these cases, we act as an independent contractor and may not be responsible for managing registration, payment processing, or certain Program policies.
When a Program is hosted and administered by a partner organization:
- That organization’s terms, policies, and refund procedures may apply in place of or in addition to these Terms and Conditions;
Parents/guardians should refer to the host’s registration portal or agreement for applicable terms; - All Things Science is not liable for decisions made solely by the host organization regarding enrollment, cancellation, or student discipline.
These Terms and Conditions apply in full only to Programs registered through All Things Science directly (e.g. via www.atsclub.org).
6. Program Changes and Substitutions
We reserve the right to make changes to Program content, staff, schedule, or location due to instructor availability, weather, facility access, or other unforeseen circumstances. While we aim to deliver a consistent experience, substitutions or adjustments may occur without prior notice.
7. Payment Policy
Unless otherwise specified, all fees are quoted and must be paid in U.S. Dollars.
Enrollment in any All Things Science Program is considered final. Fees paid for Programs, deposits, and installment plan payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, except as expressly outlined in this policy or elsewhere in these Terms and Conditions.
7.1 Missed Classes and Cancellations
- All Things Science does not offer refunds, credits, or make-up classes for student absences.
- If All Things Science cancels a scheduled class session, we will either:
- Provide a pro-rated credit,
- Reschedule the class, or
- Issue a refund for the missed session, at our discretion.
- If an entire Program is canceled by All Things Science, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method or credited to your account.
7.2 Payment Requirements
- All fees (including registration, administrative, and late fees) must be paid in full before the Program begins, unless a payment plan has been arranged in advance.
- Students with unpaid balances or overdue payments may be removed from the Program without refund.
- No credits, refunds, or make-up classes will be provided for sessions missed due to non-payment.
7.3 Late Payments and Returned Transactions
- Payments not received by the due date may be subject to a reasonable late fee.
Balances more than 30 days past due may incur monthly finance charges and may be referred to a collection agency. You may be held responsible for any associated collection or legal fees. - A returned check fee will be assessed for any checks or card transactions that are declined or not honored by your financial institution.
7.4 Auto-Pay Authorization
By enrolling in a subscription or payment plan, you authorize All Things Science to automatically charge the payment method on file according to the agreed billing schedule set at the time of registration and outlined in your account dashboard.
8. Promotions and Discounts
All Things Science may offer promotional discounts from time to time. These discounts are limited to one per student per Program, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Discount codes or promotions:
- Must be applied at the time of registration to be valid,
- Cannot be combined with other offers unless specifically stated,
- Will not be applied retroactively under any circumstances, and
- May not exceed the total cost of the Program or item purchased.
All Things Science reserves the right to modify or discontinue any promotional offer at any time without notice.
9. Certificates and Vouchers
Certificates and vouchers issued by All Things Science may be used toward Program registration but are subject to the following conditions:
- Certificates and vouchers are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- They must be applied at the time of registration and cannot be applied retroactively.
- Each certificate or voucher is valid only until its listed expiration date. Expiration dates will not be extended under any circumstance.
- Certificates are valid up to the face value issued. Any unused balance will be forfeited and cannot be carried over or credited toward future purchases.
All Things Science reserves the right to reject any altered, duplicated, or unauthorized certificate or voucher.
10. General Releases
10.1. Media Release
By participating in an All Things Science Program, you grant All Things Science and its affiliated partners permission to capture and use photographs, video recordings, audio clips, and written or verbal testimonials featuring you or your student. These materials may be used in promotional materials, social media, print publications, online platforms, and other forms of marketing or public outreach.
You acknowledge that this content may also be shared with third-party collaborators, including media outlets, community partners, and schools affiliated with the Program. All content created or recorded during Programs becomes the sole property of All Things Science and may be used royalty-free and in perpetuity.
You further release All Things Science, its employees, contractors, partners, and location providers from any liability related to the use, reproduction, or distribution of such content, including claims related to defamation, invasion of privacy, or copyright.
10.2. Name and Likeness Release
As a condition of enrollment, you authorize All Things Science and any media present at our Programs to use your student’s first name, likeness, and/or voice in media coverage, press releases, or promotional efforts. No compensation will be provided for such uses.
10.3. Project and Hardware Disclaimer
Some Programs may include project-based learning or take-home kits. While All Things Science makes every effort to provide complete and functional materials, we cannot guarantee that all student projects, digital files, or hardware components will be compatible with home devices or operate without issue. All Things Science is not responsible for any loss, malfunction, or incompatibility related to hardware, software, or project materials. No refunds will be issued due to technical issues, incomplete builds, or non-functional projects.
11. Indemnification
By enrolling in or participating in any All Things Science Program, you agree to assume full responsibility for any actions or conduct by you or your student during the course of the Program.
You further agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless All Things Science, including its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and authorized agents, from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees and legal costs) that arise out of or relate to:
- Your or your student’s participation in any Program,
Violation of these Terms and Conditions, or - Any negligent or unlawful act committed by you or your student during the course of a Program.
This provision survives the termination of your participation and remains enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Arbitration Agreement
By participating in an All Things Science Program, you agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions, your or your student’s participation in a Program, or any relationship between you and All Things Science—other than matters related to collections—shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration.
The arbitration shall be conducted in Orange County, California, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) then in effect, applying the Commercial Arbitration Rules unless the parties agree otherwise in writing. The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
You further agree that:
- Either party may initiate arbitration.
- The prevailing party is entitled to recover reasonable attorney’s fees, arbitration costs, and other legal expenses, as permitted by law.
- This clause does not limit either party’s right to seek emergency relief (such as a temporary restraining order or injunction) in a court of competent jurisdiction.
If any portion of this arbitration provision or broader agreement is found unenforceable by a court, the remaining terms will continue in full force and effect.
By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Arbitration Agreement and voluntarily agree to its terms.
13. Class Action Waiver
You agree that any arbitration or proceeding shall be limited to the dispute between you and All Things Science individually. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive the right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative action.
14. Force Majeure
All Things Science is not liable for any failure or delay in performance of our obligations under these Terms when such failure or delay is due to causes beyond our reasonable control. These causes may include, but are not limited to, acts of God, natural disasters, public health emergencies, pandemics, power outages, labor disputes, internet or telecommunication failures, government restrictions, or actions or decisions made by schools, school districts, or third-party facility hosts that affect our ability to deliver Programs as scheduled (such as school closures, schedule changes, or revocation of facility access).
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms & Conditions and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
16. Rights Reserved
All Things Science reserves the right to update, revise, or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Updates will be effective immediately upon posting to our website.
Please note that All Things Science operates independently and is not affiliated with or sponsored by any school district or educational institution, unless explicitly stated in writing.
We also reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to cancel, postpone, or modify any class, lesson, course, or Program for any reason, including but not limited to enrollment changes, instructor availability, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances.
17. Release of Liability
By enrolling your child or dependent (“student”) in an All Things Science Program, you, as the parent or legal guardian, acknowledge and agree to the following:
In consideration of the opportunity for your student to participate in any All Things Science activity, you voluntarily release and hold harmless All Things Science, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, facility partners, and agents from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, or causes of action related to personal injury, property damage, or loss incurred during or in connection with participation in any Program, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
This release includes, but is not limited to, claims arising out of:
- Ordinary negligence,
Accidental injury during activities, - Use of equipment or materials,
- Participation in on-site or off-site locations where Programs take place.
You agree to assume full responsibility for any resulting injuries or damages and understand that All Things Science takes reasonable precautions to provide a safe learning environment, but cannot eliminate all risk.
This Release of Liability shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by California law. If any portion is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.
